Terms of Service
Version 1.6 · Effective October 1, 2026
1. Operator
1.1. Legal Entity. This Service is provided and operated by AI Video Check (Individual Entrepreneur registered in Ukraine).
1.2. Registration. The operator is registered in Ukraine and operates in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.
1.3. Notices. All legal notices, takedown requests or other communications regarding these Terms must be sent to support@aivideocheck.net.
2. Description of Service
2.1. Core Functionality. AI Video Check is an online platform that leverages machine-learning and AI algorithms to perform preliminary screening of uploaded or linked videos for indicators of synthetic (AI-generated) content.
2.2. Output Delivered. Upon processing, the Service returns:
- a risk score (on a scale from 0 to 100%), indicating likelihood of AI generation;
- a thumbnail preview extracted from the analyzed video;
- a check report you can read on screen and save as a PDF, stating what was checked and what the result was.
2.3. Informational Use Only. All results are provided "as is" for informational purposes only. They are not legally binding, do not constitute expert opinion, and must not be relied upon as the sole evidence in any legal or administrative proceeding.
2.4. Manual Review (Optional Paid Service). Separately from the automatic check, and only when you ask for it, we offer a manual review: a person at AI Video Check examines the material you send, looks for where it came from using publicly available sources, inspects the frames that decide the question, checks any provenance signature, and writes an opinion for you. It is delivered as a written document, normally within two (2) business days of payment. A manual review is never applied to an ordinary check, and ordering one is never a condition of using the Service.
2.5. A Manual Review Is Still Not an Expert Opinion. Section 2.3 applies to a manual review in full. The person conducting it is not a court-appointed or state-certified forensic expert, the review is not a forensic examination within the meaning of the law of any jurisdiction, and the document you receive is a technical opinion — evidence of what we looked at and what we concluded, not a determination that binds anyone. If you need a document admissible as an expert conclusion in legal proceedings, you need a certified forensic expert, and we will say so rather than sell you a review.
3. Age Restrictions
3.1. Minimum Age. The Service is intended for users aged 18 and older.
3.2. Minor Protection. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will delete their account and associated data immediately.
3.3. Age Verification. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.
4. Registration, Authentication & Accounts
4.1. Guest Access. Users receive a daily allowance of free credits: one (1) credit per day without an account, and three (3) credits per day with a registered free account. Free credits are consumed at the same rate as purchased credits (see section 8.2), reset every day and do not accumulate. The file-size limit shown in the Service interface applies separately.
4.2. Usage Limits. When the daily free allowance is exhausted, or when a check costs more credits than the daily allowance provides, the user may either wait until the next day (a new allowance) or purchase credits to continue using the Service, as described in section 8. Daily free credits and purchased credits are not combined within a single check.
4.3. Full Access. To exceed the daily free allowance, view full history, or access paid features, users must register with a valid email (passwords are stored hashed using industry-standard algorithms, and no plaintext passwords are ever accessible) or sign in via Google Authentication (OAuth 2.0—Operator never stores your Google credentials).
4.4. Account Security. Each user is solely responsible for safeguarding their login details and all activity under their account. Operator may suspend or terminate any account suspected of abuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.
5. User Content & Content Rights
5.1. Rights. You retain all rights to videos you upload or link. You represent and warrant that you have all required permissions to submit any content, and that such content does not infringe the rights of any third party. Where you send material for a manual review (section 2.4), the same representation applies and matters more, because a person will watch that material: you confirm that you are entitled to hand it to us for that purpose, and where it contains personal data of other people, you remain responsible for that data and we act on your instructions in respect of it.
5.2. License. By uploading or linking video, you grant Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, analyze and display thumbnails for the purpose of providing the Service.
5.3. Sharing Results. Sharing a result is optional and occurs only when you click "Share". By sharing, you make the selected verdict and its thumbnail frame publicly accessible via a link. Shared content is automatically removed after 90 days, or when a registered user deletes their account, whichever comes first. Do not share results derived from content you do not have the right to make public.
6. Video Data Retention & Privacy
6.1. Processing & Deletion. Uploaded videos are stored only for the duration of analysis, then permanently deleted. Material you send us for a manual review (section 2.4) is the single exception: a person has to watch it, so it is kept until we deliver the opinion and for thirty (30) calendar days afterwards, then deleted — sooner if you ask. Our Privacy Policy, section 5.1.2, sets this out in full.
6.2. Thumbnail Storage.
- For paid users: a single extracted thumbnail frame is retained for 30 days to populate user's history
- For free users: thumbnails are generated on-the-fly and not stored
6.3. Security Measures. All video transfers and temporary storage occur over encrypted channels (HTTPS); thumbnails are stored encrypted at rest and deleted automatically after their retention period.
7. Prohibited Conduct
7.1. Illegal & Infringing Content. You may not upload videos that violate any law, infringe copyrights, or contain extremist, violent, or pornographic material.
7.2. Automated Abuse & Attacks. Automated access to the Service is allowed only through the API described in section 15, with a key issued to your account and within its published limits. Scraping the website, submitting checks through the website by automated means, attacks on the Service (such as denial of service), and any attempt to circumvent usage limits or fees — for example by spreading traffic across several accounts or keys — are strictly forbidden.
7.3. Reverse Engineering. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract or replicate the Service's underlying algorithms or models.
8. Pricing and Payment
8.1. Free Tier. Limited free usage is provided as described in section 4.1.
8.2. Paid Services and Credits. Beyond the free tier, the Service operates on a credit basis. One (1) credit permits the analysis of one video of up to one (1) minute; videos longer than one minute consume one (1) credit for each started minute of duration. Credits allow videos up to the length and file-size limits stated in the Service interface. Credits may be obtained as one-time credit packs or as part of a recurring subscription. Unless stated otherwise at the point of sale, credit packs expire ninety (90) days after purchase; credits granted under a subscription are valid for the corresponding billing period. Credits carry no monetary value outside the Service, are non-transferable, and are refundable only as set out in our Refund Policy. Current prices, pack sizes and subscription terms are displayed on the website and may include various currencies and payment methods.
8.3. Taxes. All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, which will be added where required by law.
8.4. Subscription and Auto-Renewal.
- Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period
- Users will be notified in advance of each renewal
- Users can cancel auto-renewal at any time through their account dashboard
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
8.5. Data Retention After Downgrade.
- When downgrading from a paid plan to the free tier, your analysis history is retained but is not accessible on the free tier
- Access to the history is restored when a subscription is purchased again
- You may delete your history at any time by deleting your account or by contacting support
8.6. Payment Processing and Merchant of Record.
- Payments are handled by our authorized payment partners depending on your location.
- For customers in Ukraine, payments are processed by Monobank.
- For customers outside Ukraine, the order is processed by our reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle handles the transaction, billing and related payment inquiries in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy.
- The applicable payment partner is determined automatically at checkout.
8.7. Manual Review Fees, Payment and Refusal.
- The fee for a manual review is stated to you in writing before you order it, and is charged per clip. Manual reviews are not paid for with credits and are not included in any subscription plan.
- Payment is due before work begins. A manual review is a fixed amount of a person's time that cannot be recovered once spent, and we do not start until it is paid.
- If we cannot give you a clear opinion, we say so and refund the fee in full. This covers the case where, after our work, we can tell you nothing of substance beyond what the automatic check already showed. A conclusion you disagree with is not such a case: we sell the examination and an honest answer, not a particular answer.
- We may decline any material, before or after payment, without explaining ourselves, and we refund in full when we do. We will always decline material that appears to depict sexual abuse, the abuse of a child, or content whose possession would be unlawful, and where the law requires it we will report it.
- We may limit how many manual reviews we accept in a given period. Availability is not part of any subscription and is never guaranteed.
- Retention of the material you send and of the opinion we produce is governed by our Privacy Policy (section 5.1.2).
9. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
9.1. "As Is." The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind.
9.2. Informational Only. Results are not legally binding and must not be relied upon as sole proof in any legal, administrative, or professional context.
9.3. Liability Cap. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Operator's total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount paid for the most recent subscription period; Operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
10. Changes to Terms
10.1. Modifications. Operator may modify these Terms at any time in its sole discretion.
10.2. Notice. Revised Terms will be posted with a new "Effective Date" at the top of this document. Significant changes will be communicated via email or website notice.
10.3. Acceptance. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Google Authentication
11.1. OAuth Integration. You may sign in or register using your Google account via OAuth 2.0.
11.2. Data Access. We request access only to your Google profile email and basic account information (name, email address, profile picture).
11.3. Data Use. This data is used solely to authenticate you and pre-fill your account details. We do not store or share your Google credentials.
11.4. Consent. By choosing Google Authentication, you consent to the transfer and processing of this data in accordance with these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
12. Third-Party Advertising
12.1. Advertisement Display. The Service may display third-party advertisements to Free-tier users. Advertising is currently disabled. If and when advertising is enabled, advertising networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Paid plans are not shown advertisements.
12.2. Opt-out Options. Where personalized advertising is enabled, you may opt out via your browser settings or the opt-out tools provided by the relevant advertising network.
12.3. Third-Party Disclaimer. Advertisements and links to third-party sites are provided as a convenience. We do not endorse or control these third parties and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
13.1. Applicable Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
13.2. Jurisdiction. Any disputes arising under or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Ukraine.
13.3. Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
14. Contact Information
14.1. Support Email. support@aivideocheck.net (for questions, notices, or takedown requests).
14.2. Response Time. Operator aims to respond to all inquiries within 5 business days.
15. Use of the API
15.1. Keys. Access to the API requires a key issued from your account. A key acts on behalf of the account that created it: every check made with it is charged to that account and is treated as made by you, and section 4.4 applies to keys as it does to passwords. Keep keys confidential and on your own servers; do not embed them in web pages, apps or any software you distribute to others. If a key may have been exposed, revoke it on your account page. A revoked key stops working within one minute; checks made with it before then remain yours.
15.2. Content You Send. Section 5.1 applies to everything submitted through the API, including content submitted automatically on behalf of your own users or customers: you confirm that you are entitled to submit it for analysis. Where that content contains personal data of other people, you act as the controller of that data and we process it only on your instructions and only to perform the check. If you are subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation or a similar law, our data processing agreement, available on request at the address in section 14.1, forms part of these Terms once you accept it.
15.3. How Results May Be Used. Sections 2.3 and 9.2 apply to results delivered through the API. In addition, you must not use a result as the sole basis for a decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on a person — including removing their content, closing their account, refusing them a service or publicly accusing them of fabrication — without review by a human being. A low score means that the models found no signs of generation; it is not a statement that the content is authentic, and the Service does not detect editing, visual effects or a face swapped onto real footage.
15.4. Fees. Checks through the API are paid for with credits on the same basis as checks on the website (section 8.2). The API has no free daily allowance; a one-time trial allowance may be granted when you create your first key. Credits are charged when a check is accepted and returned if the check cannot be completed. Credits bought in packs sold for API use are valid for twelve (12) months from purchase, as stated at the point of sale. Invoicing in arrears is available only under a separate written agreement.
15.5. Limits. Requests are subject to rate limits and to a limit on the number of checks running at once, published in the API documentation. We may change those limits; we will not lower them without notice to the e-mail address of the account, except to protect the Service from an attack.
15.6. Availability and Suspension. The API is provided without a guaranteed level of availability. We may suspend a key that endangers the Service or other customers, or that is used in breach of these Terms, and will tell you why at the e-mail address of the account.
15.7. Changes to the API. The API is versioned. We will not remove a field from a published version, or change what a field means, without at least thirty (30) days' notice to the e-mail address of the account. Adding new fields, endpoints or error codes is not a breaking change.
15.8. Retention. Files submitted through the API are handled as described in section 6.1: deleted when the check ends. No preview image is made or kept for checks through the API. A result can be retrieved through the API for twenty-four (24) hours after the check is created; the check itself is kept in your account's history like any other check, as described in our Privacy Policy.
